🍔 The World’s Best Vegan Cheeseburger Recipe Revealed!

Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day with a delicious and cruelty-free Vegan Cheeseburger! This recipe combines plant-based ingredients to create a mouthwatering burger that even non-vegans will love.

For the Burger Patties:

  • 1 ½ cups cooked and drained black beans
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if necessary)
  • Cooking oil for frying

For Assembly:

  • Vegan burger buns
  • Vegan cheese slices
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion rings
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup, mustard, and vegan mayonnaise

Prepare the Burger Patties:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.
  2. Add the cooked quinoa, chopped onion, grated carrots, minced garlic, tomato paste, soy sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed beans. Mix everything together until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the breadcrumbs to the mixture, stirring until it becomes firm enough to shape into patties. If it’s too dry, you can add a little water.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4-6 portions and shape them into burger patties.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of cooking oil. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Place a slice of vegan cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Vegan Cheeseburgers:

  1. Slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them in the skillet or oven until they are warm and slightly crispy.
  2. Spread vegan mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the bottom half of each bun.
  3. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the vegan cheese-covered patty.
  4. Add tomato slices, red onion rings, and pickles on top of the patty.
  5. Finish by placing the top bun on the assembled ingredients.

Serve and Enjoy:

Your delicious Vegan Cheeseburgers are ready to be enjoyed on National Cheeseburger Day! Serve them with your favorite side dishes like sweet potato fries, coleslaw, or a crisp salad for a complete meal. Happy eating!
