Filmmakers and celebs from throughout the galaxy gathered on Friday at Star Wars Celebration, the fan event held from April 7 to 10, where they discussed the upcoming movies and TV shows in the franchise.

10,000 people yelled and applauded as celebrities and Star Wars creators crowded the stage in anticipation of seeing never-before-seen footage and learning more about the making of the film. The audience greeted teasers for “Ahsoka,” “Skeleton Crew,” “The Acolyte,” and the upcoming season of “The Mandalorian,” raising their lightsabers in celebration of the opportunity to see some well-known faces.

‘Ahsoka’ to launch in August on Disney+ with Rosario Dawson

The first season of the series starring Rosario Dawson is coming in August.

Filoni informed reporters that he has known this character since she was 14 and is eager to take her journey into its next phase while wearing a T-shirt with his own original “Ashoka” design. (and think about its connections with his upcoming film).

Regarding the show’s filming, Dawson remarked, “I’ve had so many pinch-me moments.” Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Hera Syndulla, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren, both entered the stage. Before the audience saw the first trailer for the series, first-look pictures of the performers dressed as their characters were shown on the enormous screen above the Celebration stage.

‘Skeleton Crew’ shares first footage with Jude Law

A series about a group of kids with “a sense of wonder” is also on the way, Filoni said.

According to chief writer Jon Favreau, the concept existed before Disney+ even started. But he was motivated to produce a play about youth and brought it to Kennedy.

Kennedy asserted that previous programmes weren’t as much about kids as they were for kids and that this one was “meant to be.” Jude Law will be in the performance, which will be directed by Jon Watts, David Lowery, the Daniels, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung. Jude Law spoke on stage about working with young actors.

‘The Acolyte’ arrives in 2024 with Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae

The “Star Wars” TV saga will also enter a new phase with a new Disney+ production in 2024 called “The Acolyte,” which was written and directed by Leslye Headland. The series, which Headland described as having a “‘Frozen’ meets ‘Kill Bill’ vibe” and taking place between the High Republic and the start of the prequels, explores the viewpoints of the villains.

“This is such a thrilling time period, but it’s also a moment when there are more bad guys than good. They are the underdogs, Headland remarked while pledging “lots of Jedi.”

New details revealed about Season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’

You may already be following Season 3 of the Disney+ original “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian,” which aired last month and follows everyone’s favourite helmet-wearing hero, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), as he races throughout the galaxy while crooning, “This is the way.”

In the eight new episodes, Mando and Grogu (Baby Yoda) are back – although not without confusion for fans who may have missed “The Book of Boba Fett,” which streamed in early 2022 and depicts what happened between Seasons 2 and 3 of “Mandalorian.”

This season is all about showing different points of view of the world, said Filoni, who plays Trapper Wolf, especially exploring the idea of what happens when a Mandalorian removes their helmet.

This season is about “examining this idea of culture and what it means to be Mandalorian,” said Rick Famuyiwa, who plays Jib Dodger and has directed and executive produced the season.

Cast members Giancarlo Esposito, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers and Emily Swallow joined the Celebration stage and eight minutes from upcoming episodes were shown to attendees.
